v-sync

I cant believe I never set this on in all these years. It smooths everything out so much. I understand that it kills your peak fps as it syncs with the refresh rate of the monitor, but it makes for a very purty screen to look at. I was annoyed by all the texture tearing that i was getting and started tinkering with things. Does anybody else set v-sync on?

it made d3 look better with my 9800pro, but thats really the only game i've ever noticed much tearing...

yeah thats the game that was really bothering me with all the texture tearing. I was afraid to say Doom 3 with all the crapping going on.

heh, i can honestly say that i never found tearing 2b an issue before d3, don't get me wrong its an amazing gfx engine, but it's 2 goddam scary, 2 dark 2show off those awes gfx, and any game that requires at least my 9800 pro 2 enjoy it is just plain scary from the technology pov, i mean i m playing hl2 quite nicely on a gf4mx440 @1024 atm, but d3 was totally/completely unplayable (like 16fps with everything turned off @the lowest supported res!)
