v mod 3/4 for p4b533

Thugs I hope you take that up to 420-440 and try it out as well....We all know the 400mhz ddr at 2.4ghz is not as good as the 2.67ghz and 334mhz ddr in performance....

That is what I figured...I have seen that pc3000 memory in reviews do 420 with decent settings and 440 with lower but noit lowest settings...push me man!!!!

Test 160fsb 427mhz ddr...then 166fsb 443mhz ddr....

Voltage may have to go up to 2.8v though reviews did it with 2.7v...

C'mon thugs....If you don't get much better at 160fsb I am likely to say F it and run fsb up to 175fsb and still get corsair but run it at cas 2,2,2,5 at 350....probably be the best I can attain without taking a 150mhz cpu hit...

Duvie ~ give me a few mins - ill post my benchies.

160fsb 426ddr is still slower than 167fsb 334ddr (its close tho)
i still have alot more testing to do...

I can see it right now then...

If I can run 2.8ghz (175fsb) w/ cas 2 settings and 350mhz ddr...WTH would it take to equalt that...I don't think I could...440mhz ddr at 2.66ghz wont equalt it, right???

I mean you are 100mhz cpu slower but 100mhz memory faster and still it loses...

im gonna do 165fsb 439ddr now :Q

if i can tweek the cas things might improve.
i dont know the limitations of this stick yet (Corsair XMS3000) its gonna take some time.

good morning men!
very anxious to see what you men get.
my corsair 3200(googlegear) wont go past 180
my samsung 2700 was better
again remember to set the mem at relaxed timings.
any recomendations on REAL extreme memeory?

in sandra my memory performs 40 pts better in the slot closest to the cpu
a 40-42 pt diff.
but i am sure this is a known fact

actually setting the dip switches to 100mhz (*all on* even though the jumper set to 'jumper free' ) on the P4B566-VM was the magic trick to get my 4/5 ratio going too
if this helps anyone

again i am disapointed in this 'so called" extreme corsair 3200 from googlegear
to my knowledge the mushin stuff does not come larger than 256m

that gives me an idea 😉

could it be this easy? looks like a pattern. the last dipswitch controls the ratio? :Q

<on the vm board its dip5 / on the 533 its dip6> im gonna have to look into this more.

on off on on on
and
on off on on off
both give 170 fsb

AND YET...!!

the first combo for 170 works much better fot my little vm...
i think we know more than asus does!

that last jumper (the one closest to the cpu)
just might be indipendent of the jumpered/jumper free mode on these boards?
