I just got back :) I totally loved it... One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Of course, I've been anticipating this movie for a while, mainly because I'm very interested in the whole oppressive government thing.

:thumbsup: very exciting movie, and V has to be one of the coolest super heroes ever. And I'm normally not a fan of super hero movies.

Regardless of whether or not this is a repost the fact remains that V for Vendetta is an awesome movie.

There was one part that wasn't explained very well that maybe someone that read the comic could explain.

What is the significance of the roses? The coroner lady says "once I saw the rose I knew it was you."

how did she know?

Would anyone have any qualms with me posting another one just so LordMaul will eat his words when he doesn't destroy his computer and hide from humanity?

Movie was awesome. I'm going to see it a second time this weekend.

it was ok... I expected a more, totalitarian scenery.. a more gothic, lotsa cement, type of scenery, but, it just looked like modern day london.

I didn't think it was a movie that's so good, it was mediocore.

Hugo Weaving is always one badass mofo though, heh.

I've always had trouble understanding british accent however. I always can never make out what's being said in movies like Harry Potter, and the like, due to the accent lol.

Lots of things in the movie weren't explained very well. There was no real setup of how that society came to be, and how it came to be was pretty unrealistic. They didn't describe Hugo's character's powers all that well, if there were any powers... Something to do with virus AND nukes? They mentioned Oppenheimer (the dude in charge of the Manhattan project), and umm, that virus...

They should've just stuck w/ an alternate universe, instead of having a "potential future" type of scenery. Because of that, the movie wasn't all that too exciting, and I had no enthusiasm to follow the story, since it's impossible that such a Britain would ever come to power.

A more "Soviet"-type alternate universe-in-Britain would have beem MUCH better.
