I just bought a new 9100 as a PC desktop replacement for my sister's family. I dont see why people would want a 1600x1200 UXGA on a 15" screen. Isn't everything miniscule? And if you want to run a game... a laptop video card is going to be a bit weak anyways, why kill it at 1600 res?
I hate running LCD's at the blurry non native resolutions. Is this just not an issue with people? With Max OS X its generally not an issue since the OS X scales its fonts, menus and icons and also has a native antialiasing built into the OS. But I need a magnifying glass for my PC's at a very high resolution.
