Apparently Uverse TV is out for all markets. I think people can still get locals though. Also, since I have uverse for internet, we have no internet at home which sucks because my wife works from home.

PFFT, at least now she can get some of that ironing done.

EDIT.. Working again!!

My Uverse TV went down but I never lost my internet or phone.

Slowly but surely channels started coming back...most have done so but there are a few that are still either missing or giving a weird multicolored striped screen.

We had it go out yesterday for hours. Ended up calling and scheduling a visit to replace the gateway. Our service has been pretty bad after switching from WOW. If we still have problems with the new hardware, I'm going to lose it.

There were issues at a national hub in Kansas City, MO. Power outage. This affected national channels, which is why locals and some (but very few) cable channels still worked. Should be back up already.

The gateway is almost never the issue. It was most likely just shit or lazy work by the installer.

Our gateway screwed up last week and got corrupted. Had to system restore it which, of course, blew away all my firewall rules which I recreated. Nice machine when it works but if it screws up.. ugh.

Uverse used to be cool when it was no contract and they gave you the hardware. Now like bizarro world they have a contract while Comcast doesn't.

Plus you have to rent the RG from ATT now while Comcast you can bring your own modem...

I don't care...if it works, great. If not, I'll be canceling the service.

Hey, just giving you some info, since you think you know what you're talking about. Here's hoping you still have problems so you can call in and get all sassy on the phone

That sucks. I'd think they would have a fallover system but who am I to judge?

And my gateway went bad. Nothing wrong with the installation at all. Gateway just dies after 6 months. It happens.

I'm stuck with AT&T DSL...my DSL modem dies just about annually. The frustrating thing was having to wait X number of days for them to get a tech out to tell me exactly what I already knew ("Yep, your modem is bad."). I finally bought two extra DSL modems and two extra routers and configured them like I wanted; now when something dies I just plug-and-play the new combo in.

Upgrading NSA backdoor, did not go as smoothly as planned. I'm surprised it went this poorly though.

I don't get the animosity but you got your wish! At 12:30AM, it went down and proceeded to cycle in and out of "normal" for about an hour.

Looks like we're going back to WOW...and for the same price we'll be looking at double the speed.
