Is there any way to tell if a pair of sunglasses has UV protection on them? i'm asking because i always see pretty good looking sunglasses for a cheap price at the swap meat...(yes i know you get what you pay for, but wouldn't it be nice to know if something cheap had UV protection on them?)

About your Q; Some news channel did an investigation and said cheap and designer sunglasses offer the same UV protection (unless they are polarized and coatings like that)

yes...buy a pair you think are UV Protection > Put them on and stair at the sun for a few hours. If your retinas melt they aren't UV protection 😀 😕

if you want nice sunglasses for cheap, go to a Fossil outlet.
- they have literally hundreds of styles, all much cooler looking than drugstore ones
- most have UV protection
- $10 for 1 pair, $15 for 2!

According to a study I saw on TV, the cheapest sunglasses have ~99% UV protection, and the most expensives have no more than 99,5%. Strange.

I'm sure you know what your label says, but I thought UV protection was on a 0%--100% scale.
