Trading both of their first round picks this year as well as the future first round pick they got from Detroit in the Carlos Arroyo deal to the Trailblazers.

Will be interesting to see how the Hawks screw up the #2 pick.

From what I've heard, the two top players are Bogut and Williams. They just have to pick the player that Milwaukee doesn't. :)

heh, they might get "stuck" with Marvin Williams and add to their list of 6'7" - 6'9" swingman. they would probably benefit from a center like Bogut.

If they Draft Chris Paul, he is going to have a lot of growing up to do in a hurry. Chris Paul was on Sporting News Radio last week and he flat out said he was an East Coast Mama's boy and he plays better when he is close to his family and friends. His dream is to get drafted by the Bobcats so he can stay close to home and be with his family all the time. Wherever he gets drafted, his brother will be moving in with him to keep him company so Paul will not feel so alone...

Yep, the Hawks don't have a true center right now. They could use a point guard as well but it doesn't look like there is one worth of being second overall.

Shame that the Hawks had to screw up their draft the year Lebron was going to be drafted. They looked like a shoe-in for the #1 pick and then they did a bunch of bone-headed trades and started winning. Now they sucked enough this year to get the number one overall but ended up with the #2 in a draft with virtually no stars.

Chris Paul seems the likely candidate to fill the void from the Arroyo trade.

Sources have them trading up so they can take Deron Williams... their system would seem to be better for Williams anyways, paul is smaller and not nearly as physical as williams.

i always thought Josh Childress was supposed to be a big PG, like Magic and Anfernee Hardaway? what happened to that?

He's been playing more in the 3 spot and sometimes in the 2 depending on the situation. Not a true point guard. Not at this point in his career and probably not ever.
