I still prefer 2k4 and play it occasionally, but i could do some UT3.
In Europe for the next week but will be back July 9.

I've played UT2K4 and really enjoyed that. What's so bad about UT3, though? (never had a chance).
 
UT3 is dead. epic is dead to me. i bought that game at full price hoping it would return the arena shooter to the glory days of UT and quake 2/ quake 3. cliffy b and the rest of epic are a bunch of pricks that are just engine makers and console whores.
 
Arena shooters need a skill based matchmaking system for 1v1/team dm exactly like Starcraft 2. Quake Live's system of finding a server with people of similar skill isn't an adequate replacement IMO. It needs to match you up against an actual player, then find an available server for you to play on.

This. They totally betrayed their fanbase IMHO.
 
i play all the time. no trouble finding plenty of active servers to play on

you can check to see if bots are disabled or not. i never said i join the highest number of players, i play with the lowest ping. but there are full servers, depends when you play. the pics are just from one particular sitting.

it's possible, but too confusing to do so for most people. That made it more confusing. Why in the world would you go backwards with something like that if not to intentionally mislead? Epic failure.

well i've never seen a server that had bots enabled. i'd say most just disable it cause no one wants to play bots in MP caus thats what SP is for or maybe their disabled by default which is probably the case anyway.

But don't just blame UT3. Nexuiz is 100% dead and it just came out on steam a couple months ago and even uses the Cryengine 3.
Tribes Ascend has about as many playing as UT does

So that leaves you with QuakeLive, which i hate anyway. but UT3 is certainly not dead. its plenty fun to play and overall is about the best twitch shooter with decent graphics your gonna find unless you just play bland one with no vehicles and crappy graphics

Nexuiz is definitely 100% dead, also... the screenshots you posted have bots in them 🙁

to conclude, UT3 is dead, UT2k4 > *, and fuck you EPIC.
