ut2k3 vs. Radeon 8500

Hi,

did anyone get ut2k3 to work on a Radeon 8500 card ? I think it's supposed to work, but not for me,

I have a HIS Excalibur 8500 64 MB plugged into an Abit BX6-2 running under WinXPSP1 and it's doing nothing more but to display the NVidia Logo und freeze, one time it even managed to turn the logo a little bit.

What did I do wrong ? I've installed the most recent ATI Driver, DX8.1, SP1 for XP. My Sound card (SB128) is running with original XP drivers. The crash comes no matter if starting with ut safe mode or regular.

It could be that you're overclocking.

Yep, my 8500LE (275/275) runs UT2003 GREAT at max settings at 1024x768x32.

yes I do oc, but only my C566@850, but thats not the matter, yesterday I took off my 8500 and put in a GF2MX400 from my other system - now it works, vice versa I put in the 8500 in the other one, which is a T1.4/Abit KT7-A which now works, too. So I guess it's the AGP4x which the BX6-2 is not capable to handle.
Unfortunatly the only reason for me to for the 8500 was it's DFI plug, since I bought a TFT for my old Celly system.
