Hi, I had a GEforce MX 420 installed on my system and was running UT2k3 with it. THen I decided to upgrade to Radeon 9500 pro. I deleted all the nvidia files from the registry, etc. I uninstalled UT2k3 and reinstalled it(with the 9500 pro). However the stupid thing is still using Nvidia and the game is very shaky and it takes forever to respawn. Please help me run UT with my new card

Well, if you don't mind formatting, do that, it's generally recommended when changing vid cards. That's what I did when I got my radeon 8500 from savage4. 'Course, I was having errors that made running windows very difficult.
Otherwise, just wait for other people who know about that kinda thing! :)

Did you try changing your video adapter to standard vga, then installing your 9500?

No I did not try that. Let me see if that works out. Anyone else who has suggestions as well, please post them.

If you're using WinXP pro, make your video card undetected by windows, then install your new drivers. You can check if your card is undetected in device manager w/c can be found when you execute the 'system' icon in the control panel or by simply right clicking "my computer"

Hmm, i hate it when that happens: not removing old drivers beforei nstalling new video card ^^;. That happened to me when I was uprading my ATI 98D to TNT2 34mb lol. I remember trying to remove the current drivers and letting windows detecting new ones but it didn't work. I had to put in my old one in, remove drivers, reinstall the card, and then etc etc.
