UT2004...... it's nothing like the original UT

I can't see how everybody is saying UT2004 is like the orig UT, it's so much like 2003. But I admit it is better than 2003 but the game play is still too slow. UT2003/4 just seems like microsoft bought it out and is bloating it

You shoot people, aliens, robots, etc with futuristic weapons. Like in the old UT =) But you can do more like use vehicles.

UT2004 is awesome!!
and yes it's like 2003... they are the exact same game with a few minor cosmetic changes... some of the maps from 2003 are even included in 2k4.

but I love playing UT2K4 online... great game

My only problem with UT2004 is that sometimes it's too fast for me.

But after playing for about 30 minutes it seems normal.

I still love playing the old UT. I remember we had a tournament on the lan in our dorms between floors. I "trained" at 150% game speed on the hardest level until I could beat the game in deathmatch without losing a single match. Liandri central core was my best map... I always cleaned up on it

silverpig: we did the same ALWAYS on 150% speed, we used teh Mod where you could play as the grim reaper who coudl fly by hitting jump all the time

Yeah, I found that 100% speed made the characters seem "heavy". I actually liked quake3 more as it seemed faster, but then I found the game speed setting in UT and never really went back to q3.

yep, and its a damn shame also. still havent warmed up to ut2k4. since im not a huge computer-game player, when the servers on the original ut die or start fizzling out, ill prolly quit playing computer games altogether.

it is really a fast game, i must admit. Like, ill try and challenge myself to a 1v1 godlike bot match for like a 30 min round, and i am so focused during it that at the end i am seriously worn out from thinking.
