Hell yes. Gotta love picking someone off in the air (while you're in the air as well) from across the map on a low-grav/IG server. It is a deeply satisfying experience.

No doubt. I love it when 3-5 defenders stack up in the doorway to their base on BR-Anubis and you can wax them all with one shot. Doesn't happen too often, but always causes me to burst into maniacal laughter when it does.

It has to 8.1b or newer. Vanilla 8.1 or 8.1a will not work. This is a documented issue, and is in the readme that comes with the retail version and the demo.

How much system RAM?
Unless you have less than 256MB of RAM, I'd say you should get a faster video card. Anything from the Radeon 8500 and up should suit your system well.

$100 at Best Buy? I'm guessing this is for the 64MB version. Are you opposed to buying online? I'm sure you can get it cheaper at Newegg.

Edit: Apparently, you can get the 128MB version from ENPC for ~$100

OMG Macolm (adept difficulty setting) is by far the absolute hardest last boss (I think...I hope!) in any fps ever. He just wont die! I can have 5 up on him in the beginning, and in the end he will always come back to kick my ass! I've been trying to beat him for at least 4 hours, and I just cant do it....sigh.

I love a challenge, but the level (serpentine temple) is so biased towards bots its not funny.

About the bots though....they are by far the best bots ever to touch a fps game. They arent just quick, they are SMART. They learn from you, they wont make the same mistake two times in a row. They really dont feel like bots at all, but their faster than yours reflexes will definitely show.

If any of you can beat malcolm on adept difficulty and prove it, you get major props.

I'm just fearful of who's next if malcolm isnt the last boss.

I've been playing since saturday and while I do like the game, it is just too much like the original UT. The graphics are much nicer and the maps are cool but the game is basically the exact same thing. I'm just glad I didn't pay for it because I would've wanted my money back.

DL teh dempo and see how that runs if it works with the settings the way you stated then teh real game should work also
