UT2003 FPS Confusion

Hmm aint those fps really loow ? Ive seen people getting 55 - 70fps wiht a GeForce4ti4600

I mean if you look here

http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1647&p=13

You should be getting around 160 - 178fps in UT2003 @ 1024@768 with everything on HIGH on a GeForce4Ti4600...

Have they just beefed the game up heaps to make it go down 100fps ? or is the benchies on that site above inaccurate?

Thanx

A lot of the benchmarks are skewed because people are still using the 40.41 detonators for their Nvidia cards... and Nvidia released a statemenet saying that there were some problems with those detonators and UT2k3

no that's not why...if you look at the flyby then the FPS are right on par with anand's findings. This probably means that the timedemos Anand ran were flybys

Yeah, BUT:

"The NVIDIA 40.41 drivers are known to have visual flaws and performance
problems (hitching) with the Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo which are not
present in the 30.82 drivers. The issue has been addressed by NVIDIA
and future drivers released by NVIDIA will contain the appropriate fixes.

If you are currently running the 40.41 drivers please either downgrade
to 30.82 or install newer drivers when available."
