Hope this demo works a bit better than the previous leaked beta. The previous leaked has some problems with my SMP box, mainly with sound. Its a good game, but UT2003 is more than a game, its a complete platform to deliver some top notch mods and games. The mods, 2-3 years after UT2003s release will just shatter the existing mods out there today. The game isn't much more than UT (ihmo), but the graphical, model and animation upgrades are simply amazing. Go Epic!

On one hand, it's nice to know that they have been working on a Linux version of the game. On the other hand, this is exactly what was said about Neverwinter Nights, and we've yet to see the Linux release of THAT game.

For now, I'm just hoping that the Linux demo comes out shortly after the Windows demo. :)

Its not even approaching fair to compare any beta version to the demo/full game. Judging the game at all based on the beta is equally unfair.

With that said, I hope the long, long wait is worth it.

I believe Mark Rein said the install package was just under 100mb.

DEATH! I have a slot-a too! Ah well, I'm in the middle of upgrading (literally, I already bought and installed a new HD, CD-ROM's, vid card ... I'm only missing my mobo/cpu/ram) so I guess this will just speed up the process a little ;)
