UT PROBLEM:kinda skips (runs smooth, pauses for split second, every second)

i don't know what to do. er, yea so it just kinda skips. best way to describe it is if u smoothly wave u're hand but whilst doing so u stop everyone second for a short time.

the sound doesn't skip, and the game is still pretty playable, it is just horrible to look at and to snipe with

Sounds like the dreaded UT/V-Sync issue, it seems to happen whenever the game is rendering at a higher FPS then your current refresh rate. Try disabling V-Sync in the game and or your drivers. To disable it in UT type preferences in the UT console, or download UT Configurator. It will allow you to tweak just about every UT setting without messing around in console.
