UT patching question

I just picked up UT (version 400) and have now downloaded a pile of patches and bonus packs for it from www.unrealtournament.com and www.unrealengine.com

- utpatch436.exe
- utbonuspack.zip
- utbonuspack1.zip (this looks like it is identical to the above utbonuspack.zip)
- utbonuspack2.zip
- utinoxxpack.zip
- utbonuspack4.zip
- unrealedfix4.exe

I assume that UT has evolved over time, with various other patches leading up to v436. My question is, does anyone know if these need to be applied in a specific order?...I was expecting to apply them pretty much in the order shown above, unless something in a readme indicated that I shouldn't.

Any tricks, or other advice before I try these? (I'm hoping that by asking I can avoid dumb mistakes and avoid having to blow UT away and reinstall from CD).

just install them in any order... doesn't really matter... (i usually put the inoxx pack 2nd though)
when you install them, you'll need the UT cd inside the drive. however, when you play, you don't need them (the 436 patch gives you the ability to play w/out needing the cd)

hmm.... i don't have bonus 2 and 4.... hey, what happened to bonus 3? 😕

if you're on 56k, i suggest you download some maps before playing (it's much faster than d/l-ing from game server). if broadband, don't really have to worry much...

My home PC isn't yet connected (still deciding between cable, DSL, or cheapo modem link). As a result, I have had to wait until the CD-RW here at work is fixed before I can get all these patches (plus updates for every other piece of hardware and software) onto a CD to get it home. Hopefully tonight...

What is a good source of maps? So far I'm just running around these levels blindly (and happily 😀) exploring and shooting bots as I go. Maps would help.

I think utinoxxpack IS bonus pack 3...

I'll be very happy to get the 436 patch installed, since popping in the CD each time is a pain (especially after it gobbled up a huge chunk of the hard drive).

also, if you like instagib games (which is the only one i'm good at considering how slow aol is), you may want to check out instagib league

in addition, when you play online, you'll see the news section if they have the latest patch or bonus and stuffs.... plus the links to various download sites

i believe you need 4.36 installed b4 the bonuspack 4 will work, but that's it 🙂
