UT at Austin people--read this sh*t

Damn. I walk into CampusComputers today to see when WindowsXP Pro will be available. The guy says "hopefully around DECEMBER." Apparently, the UT/Microsoft licensing agreement ends next year and they're in negotiations on extending it...it's not going too well so from here on out, look for UT to be getting Microsoft software a lot later than world-wide release dates.

Considering we get a full version, virus free, legit copy of the OS, I think it's worth the five bucks they charge us.

Huh? No, I was going to pay like I do for ALL my Evil Empire software. Unfortunately, MS won't release the UT-stamped WinXP Pro ($5) until December or so.

Yeah thats a killer price, I would go for an OS for $5 too if I could get that, instead I just wait for it to come in here to my work on a PC as a OEM

I know I don't worry about Virus's myself tho... I've only had 1 virus I didn't want in my life

No, I doubt UT will play OK in any bowl let alone the Rose Bowl.

I personally hate the UT football team for 2 reasons...
1.) Mac Brown can eat sh*t. We need a REAL coach.
2.) Simms--just like his dad, he sucks!! Looks like daddy bought him into the starting role (maybe that's why he decided Texas instead of the other UT)

Yup, that's right--a UT boy KNEW OK would beat UT. BUT...I don't think OK will win the National Championship again.

Hell, at least your school stocks MS OS's. I think the most recent academic version MS OS we have at the bookstore is Windows 98. I wish we had that $5 deal. Microsoft recently donated like $500,000 to help renovate our business center on campus, but we don't get good discounts of software.

Or even UCLA which were 10-0 then lost at the final regular season which ends it championship run?

Not harsh at all. The boy has a cannon for an arm. But if he isn't smart enough to throw to certain places (good placement for a receiver or to assure that it won't be picked off) or to keep it and run. Yeah, it's only his first year as a starter but Daddy should've done a better job teaching him. Also, why bench UT's statistical leader (Applewhite)?? Sure, he's not as talented, but he's smart. It takes a smart QB to throw to all of his talented receivers and backs to have a good offense.

All of this falls back on Brown--again, we need a real coach. (I loved his call at the OU game--throw on first down back on your own goal-line??!!)

Never gonna happen. Have you even heard of the BCS? The likelyhood of this happening is about as likely as you opening up a letter with antharax in it.

Besides, OU is gonna lose to the BIG RED MACHINE this weekend. :Q

Really I do think that about 1000 things would have to fall into place, like Texas being voted #2 in the polls from here on out, for any two teams in the same conference to play each other.

I'm glad to see so many Big 12 teams in the top 10, its about time people started to see how tough this conference really is.
