UT 2003 cannot be downloaded... what is going on?

Hi there,

I tried to download the UT2003 demo several times, from various locations, but although the browser shows that the full 97.7 MB of data were transferred to my machine, when i highlight the actual file, it appears something like 16.5 MB...and when double-cliked, the damn thing gives the error "xxx is not a valid Win32 application". If I try to unzip it (with WinRar), I receive the message that the file is fragmented.

So what is going on - am I missing something?

If you have a fast internet connection 600+ I will AIM it to you alot faster than it will download. ,I have the patch as well.

That sucker is very very fast. I still can't get on the ut server though....

But after downloading, the file still appears as having 18.9 MB ???

I have no idea what's going on...

Does your download finish? Do you have enough space to allow the full 98meg dnload?

Yes, I have the space necessary, and the download seems to finish correctly (at least it says that 100% / 100 MB were downloaded) and the windows then closes...)

wel... it seems that was a problem with Internet Explorer - Netscape downloaded the file quite successfully!

I have no idea why IE didn't work...

Try updating to IE6 SP1 if you haven't already.

for msie, you may also want to try clearing the cache, or the temporary internet files ...
