I was setting this up for a customer today, a laptop with their wireless PCMCIA card and an access point, got everything working but the range was about 80 FEET OUTSIDE! it's supposed to be 1500, any help on this? I hear that it might just be USRobotics fault? I might try linksys... plz anything!

Not 11 Mb at 1500 feet but you could probably get 1 or 2 at that range. Assuming you have a 30 or 40 mW Access Point. Nevertheless, 80 feet is not right either at any data rate. What kind of antenas are you using? Rubber duckies? and are they screwed down tight. Sounds like an antenna issue to me. Also, could you have the AP output turned down. Many AP's allow you to turn the power down to make the cell smaller. If you can deafult the AP and secure the antennas that you have, you should be ok. If you are not, you may have a bad radio or the power output may be bad, either way, it means a bad AP, but that is not a given.
