USPS Tracking Question

So I am expecting a pakage that was shipped saturday. When I go to Track I get this Message.



<< The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on February 10, 2002 at 8:30 am to expect your package for mailing. Status is updated every evening. Please check again later. >>



What does that mean?

It would seem The Post Office doesn't have My Package Yet! What is the deal?
 
the shipper hasnt send the package yet .. USPS tracking is updated but the info given is not as detail as FeDex
 
Yeah the usps tracking/delivery confirmation thing doesn't exactly track. as far as I know, it tells when the package was scanned at the p.o., and when it was delivered to the destination. It doesn't tell where it is at any point in time b/w the start and end. It does seem that the p.o. hasn't even gotten the package yet though

that doesnt mean anything. my last usps package (it came last week) said that until and up to the day it arrived. It probably still says that for all i know. so dont worry about it.

Since it is delivery confirm, you can only get information after the package has been deliveried by the carrier. And after the USPS database updates, you can get the information from usps.com.

So just wait. Don't worry.

It always goes likt that.

Just to let you know USPS TRACKING SUCKS!!! REPEAT!!! IT SUCKS!!! They told me that a package THEY lost was delivered to my address....however, it didn't show up until a MONTH later. They couldn't even track it when it was lost...they just had to wait for it to "show up somewhere". They may be good for letters, but they suck otherwise....UPS and FedEx are da bomb.
 
I've seen USPS not update their tracking numbers until the package was already delivered. Don't bother calling their support number either... there's nothing they can do. Ya gotta just wait it out, bub. 🙁
