I sent Krueger a motherboard, got it insured and delivery confirmation. Went home and PM'ed him the confirmation #. Checked it and it said that the item was delivered on April 9th in San Jose. Never mind that I sent it to Illinois on the 26th.... WTF? Paying for peace of mind causes more stress with them :(

I've received 3 packages with UPS, and guess how many were damaged??? Yep, all 3 of them...

The last one was a Sony G400, which is cracked all over the place. I have my lesson now, and I'm never using UPS ever again.

Couldn't agree more, it took almost 3 1/2 weeks for someone to receive a package I sent priority mail...:(

In there defense, I've never had a single problem with them. I always use USPS Priority, & it's always been fast for me. If I mail a package on Monday it gets to PA on Thursday. Every time. OR to CA? It'll get there Wednesday.

title edited. I'm sure you don't mind.

And if he did? Then?

Then he could contact us and we could explain why his title was unacceptable. However, we feel confident he knows what was out of line and doesn't object to our correcting it for him.

However, if he needs assistance from a fellow member with delusions of being an attorney and demanding explanations of subjects that are none of his business - then you may feel free to contact him.

I've had my problems with USPS. Lost KotchY's package and a few other packages and a few took alot longer than expected to arrive. But when I send to anywhere else in NY they usualy get there overnight.

The title specifically mentioned USPS & our four-legged friends with a penchant for stubbornness.

yup, DC is pretty worthless. Not that UPS is all that great, but at least they give you the first $100 insurance free...

here's the way I see it:

USPS: handles millions upon millions of pieces of mail ever day. Deliver 6 days a week. Cheap. You have a designated spot where you can get it and no one else can touch it (usually). Hardly ever hear about complaints with them. I've never had one.

UPS: handles millions of packages. only deliver 5 days a week. Not as cheap as USPS. If you're not home, either they leave it and it could get stolen, or you don't get it till the next day. I've heard tons of complaints about them, and have had quite a few unpleasant experiences with them myself.

USPS handles 10 times the volume and has 10 times the customer satisfaction. Looks like USPS wins.

Never had a problem w/ USPS---I usually ship that way. UPS, however, has screwed up EVERY time I shipped something with them. I think in the future I might try FedEx ground sevice instead of UPS...

They're sort of like airlines. You're bound to have a bad experience if you use their services long enough, no matter who you use. And when you do have a bad experience, customer service will suck. . . .

I seem to remember hearing a couple of weeks ago that USPS is considering eliminating Saturday delivery, and claiming that e-mail is responsible. Anyone else hear that?

I have no delusions of being an attorney, first of all. Secondly, it was a legitimate question and I wasn't attacking you. All I asked for was an answer. And that is what I got along with some banter at the end, which I just passed off as gas.
