I have an application that must arrive in Seattle by January 2nd. Due to my notebook dying the night before last, and my printer running out of toner today, I have been frantically getting my essays, stories, etc. re-edited.

I was planning on sending it tomorrow via Guaranteed overnight. But now I haven't finished my personal statement. And I do not know if I want to cram it in tonight. Being the holiday season, I am worried that it might not arrive on time if I mail it Tuesday.

What are your thoughts?
 
Finish your stuff and send it out overnight next week. Overnight means overnight....so you should be fine.

Or use Fedex or UPS if you aren't confident in the USPS.
 
Send it Priority with delivery confirmation .... if it doesn't make it by Friday you'll know & be able to overnight another copy, but I doubt you'll need to.

Edit:If its life or death type stuff I agree you should go with Fedex overnight.

I can't. I have to have all my letters of recommendation and transcripts in a packet with my other stuff. I only have one shot of it making it there. I hope it doesn't get lost. 🙁
 
Speaking of USPS, does anyone think I have any shot of receiving this before tomorrow?

USPS is loaded up right now, a lot of people are complaining on their speed. It's the holiday, they're swamped.

I would overnight it UPS, DHL, or Fedex.
 
USPS is very overworked at the moment... very slow, but what can you expect... I imagine they're receiving huge quantities of shipments all over.

Sounds like Fedex Overnight is the way to go for sure then.
 
If you're that concerned send it overnight on Tuesday, it doesn't matter if you use USPS, Fedex or UPS, they are all very reliable.

If it doesn't get there on Wednesday, which won't happen, it will get there, you'd have plenty of time to send copies of everything and still get it there. You could do the same thing 3 times.

I assume you are going to make copies of everything, even if you send the originals in the first shipment.
