I recently traded some computer hardware and sent it via USPS priority mail. The trader I traded with said he did not get it after 4 weeks. I did not use Delivery confirmation. What could cause USPS to be so slow? It is supposed to take only 2-3 days. Anyone have similar experiences?

I just got a package today that was originally postmarked March 1. That's over a month late. Funny thing is it showed up only a few days after the sender filed an insurance claim. It's entirely possible your package is lost, but if you don't know the guy you were trading with very well, it's even more likely you just got ripped off. I've had the same problem trading concert tapes with folks on the internet.

always use insurance. Delivery confirmation is 35 cents, you're being lazy if you skipped it. It's all on you, to prove delivery.

Yes, I have had this problem with USPS before, luckily I had Delivery Confirmation and Insurance on. The first time I shipped a case to somone, it took 3 weeks instead of the 2-3 days like they say. The second time the package got lost all together. It could have very well been lost or delayed...I hate to tell ya but your probobly going to have to eat the cost if you dont have Insurance on it...

The person is a good trader so I know he wouldn't rip me off. I didn't use insurance. Can I still file a claim?
