USPS parcel post - transit time???

Up to how many days can a package sent via USPS parcel post take to reach its destination? I searched and I get varying answers anywhere from 2 to 15 days and nobody can agree on an upper bound. Let's assume a cross-country shipment from Washington state to Georgia sent the Monday during the week of Christmas. Any ideas??? 😉

It can take up to 3 weeks.

If it was a XMas gift, you should have gone with Priority and that would only have costed
like $.60 to .80 more.

Nah, no Christmas gifts. I figured it would take a while, but I kinda thought the USPS was better than 3 weeks these days!

I mailed some stuff from Fort Worth, TX to my APO address and it took almost 2 months to get to me. This doesn't exactly fit into your criteria, but it shows the Post Office is not as fast/efficient as you might think.

After 2 months I probably would have totally given up ever seeing my packages again!

Weird, most of my experience has been insanely fast.

Letter: Dallas, TX to Conn. in 2 days. (Standard, 1st class)
Package: Dallas, TX to NY in 3 days. (Standard, 1st class)
