Does anyone know what postal employees are able to accept as a Holiday gift? I thought I heard something about them not being able to accept any type of consumable. Anyone know? Thanks.

If I were a mailman I wouldn't eat something that was given to me by someone I don't really know. :Q Some people are pretty bitter toward the USPS.

I assume that because they're federal employees, they legally can't accept any gift worth more than $20.

My folks usually give their mail carrier a box of See's Chocolates, and it never seems to be a problem. It may have more to do with it being pre-packaged and clear that it hasn't been tampered with. Of course my folks live in a small town where everybody knows everybody else; in a large city it may not work the same.
