I had someone knowledgeable who copied all my documents off my old computer onto a usb thumb drive. I inserted the thumb drive it into the usb drive on the front of my computer. How the heck do I get access to the information now? What do I do to get to what is on the thumb drive??? I need some patient soul to walk me through this. Thanks so much!

What Operating System are you using?

If you are using Windows ME or greater, or Mac OS X or greater, your thumb drive will be detected automatically, and will appear in My Computer (in windows) or on your desktop (in mac os) as a new drive.

Did your computer recognize the thumb drive?
Look in "my computer" for something titled "removable disk".
Double click it and there's your files.
Copy them and paste them wherever they belong.
