Anyone know if there is a way to use the Windows XP Pro Terminal Services client on a Windows 2000 box?

Nevermind, I just answered my own question. I went and copied MSTSC.exe and mstscax.dll to my Win 2k box and it works great!

MS now offers Remote Desktop clients for most other versions of Windows. In fact, they just issued a juicy patch for the ActiveX web version (MS02-046, I think).

I have a question about the Terminal Services client. Is there anyway to set it up so a machine runnin 98SE/2000 can allow an XP machine can controll it? Or can it only be that the XP machine can be connected to from the outside?

Yes, Windows XP Pro. has a built in Terminal Server that allows you to connect to it with a Terminal Services Client and control it remotely.

You could also connect to 98/2000 to control them, however they do not have that capability built in, you would have to do it with a 3rd party app such as VNC or PCAnywhere.
