Using Terminal Services with NO floppy drives

I've got no floppy drive in my server, no floppy drive in my client, and certianly no floppy disks.....

So how do I setup a terminal services client? when I use the "Terminal Serivices Client Creator" it only gives me the option to make floppies.

Is there anywhere I can download the client? or get an ISO version?

Search the Terminal server or your server disk for the Win16 & Win32 clients & copy it to a share directory, ftp share, or email it to a web mail address.

The better route is to download & install the newer RDP client that had a few bug fixes over the Win16/32 version: Remote Desktop Connection Software Download

The client executable (MSTSC.EXE) works by itself. You don't really need to "install" it.

The files that would actually end up getting put on the floppies are in the tsclient directory (underneath the directory where the client creator, clcreate.exe is).

Yes, if you mean from a Linux/Unix/Mac clients to Windows TS server.

Windows RDP & Win16/32 clients will only work on Win9.x/NT/XP (Windows 2000/XP clients free).
Citrix include DOS/Win9.x/NT/XP/Mac/Unix/Linux client.
HOB include Mac/Linux/Unix/PDA client.
Winconnect include Linux/PDA client.
Rdesktop include Linux/Unix client (free!)

If you mean you have Win2K Professional and want to use terminal services on the machine (to act as a server), the answer is flat out NO.

Something like VNC would be your answer.

Buddah,

If you install the Adminpak it will install the TS client on your machine.

Adminpak.msi can be found in the i386 of 2k Server or Advanced Server. You can also download a copy of it from microsoft.

You can also install the web version of the Terminal Services client somewhere (the server you are going to TS into would work fine, you need IIS running though), and access it through: http://yourserver/tsweb. It uses an ActiveX control, and you can find it somewhere on the MS site.
