using "tab" in excel

help! they reinstalled everything on my computer, and now my Excel is doing funky stuff (this is at work.)

i'd ask our tech desk except they have no idea how to fix it other than "let's just reinstall it and let's see what happens."

when i'm using excel, i usually press tab to move to the next cell. after they reinstalled windows, now when i press tab, it moves an entire page over on the spreadsheet. if i want to move to the next cell, i have to use the arrow key or click on it with my mouse, which needless to say, is slowing me down immensely. how can i get the tab function back? the microsoft help either doesn't have a way to do it, or i'm not typing in the correct keywords.

From the <Run> prompt, try typing in
excel /a

This starts Excel in a default mode I think. Or not, back up first anyway.
