Using SSD as primary, HDD as Secondary - Help

Alright so I'm about to put together my new computer, everything arrived today!

I'll be using a 120GB SSD for my primary drive for Win 7, and some other programs/games which I use a lot - And a 2nd 1 TB HDD for everything else.

So. My question is how do I set that up? Every computer I've built has only used 1 HDD. Is it all configured through the BIOS? or is there a "primary" slot on the mobo to plug into?

Just looking for some help, or someone to point me in the right direction on how to go about this.

Basically, the way it works is that whichever drive you install Windows on is the primary drive. The other will appear as D: or whatever. Just make sure that the SSD is before the HDD in the BIOS boot priority.

Finally, I always recommend installing Windows with only the SSD physically connected. The reason for this is that Windows is really stupid about where it puts the bootloader, which can lead to an unpleasant situation if it put it on your HDD and you decide to swap the HDD out!

Awesome, so would you suggest putting everything in EXCEPT the HDD. Install windows on the SSD, then turn it off put in the HDD, and power it up again?

Yeah. You can even install the HDD and just not connect the cables.
