Using Skype internationally

I have never used Skype or any VoIP software before. I'll be traveling to Turkey next month for a couple weeks and was planning on adding the international data plan that AT&T offers. I was then hoping I could use Skype over 3G(jailbroken phone)/WiFI to make calls back to the states for a fraction of the cost.

Would this work?

i wouldn't use it on the cell network...i'm sure international data roaming charges are prohibitively expensive. stick to wifi and you'll be fine

Skype does not work on the iPhone's baseband connection - only over WiFi. Also... you do know There's a Forum For That. (TM)

It takes a little work, but it's doable.
