I have two desktops and one of which have two operating systems on it and the newer one is running on xp pro media center edition '05. I am building another one based on the amd winchester and new motherboard. Can I pull out the sata drives whis is configured as raid-0 with the xp pro media center on it and install it on the new motherboard to run the amd, and just install the necessary drivers for it?

probably not. it's always good to do a full reformat when changing such a huge part of your hardware. also if you want to tweak the raid settings at all for the new system you'll need to do a full reformat, no questions asked...
