Using RAID port as IDE on Gigabyte 8IRXP (Promise chip)

I have already installed XP Professional on my IDE hard drive using the IDE1 port of this MOBO. Everthing is working fine. All of my programs and data are also installed on the drive. I would now like to move the drive to the RAID port on the motherboard WITHOUT having to use the stripe or mirror features (Just use it as an additional IDE port). I want to use the main IDE ports for other storage devices (CD-RW, DVD, DVD+RW). I can't find anything in the user manual of the MOBO or on the Promise website about doing this.

Also, I'd like to add another hard drive to the raid port.

Has anyone done this before? Any help is appreciated.

Update to the F6 bios & there will be an option in the bios to switch the onboard promise controller to standard IDE or Raid.
