Using PC Case fan's in my car for my amps

I'm wanting to hook up a couple of fans in my trunk where my amps are.

Couple of questions:

1. Do fans have a remote turn on wire? My amps have a remote turn on switch so that my head unit controls when the amps turn on and off.

2. Can I wire the fans directly into my distribution block that runs from my battery? Meaning, can i hook up the power/ground wire to my battery power and ground? or do i need an inverter...

They don't have a turn on wire and they can be wired directly. They're not ac so they don't need an inverter.

1) No. (As answered above).

2) Yes you can, but they would be on all the time unless you used a switch. A better alternative is to use the remote turn on wire to activate a relay with enough juice to a) Turn your amps on (minimal) and b) run the fan. You would connect the relay to the same power/ground as your amps, but it wouldn't supply any power to the fan until your headunit was turned on :)
