???Using onboard Raid as an extra IDE contorler on the K7T266 Pro2-RU???

I can't seem to get the onboard raid (Promise 20265R aka FastTrak100 TX light) to work as a normal IDE controler on an MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU. On MSI's web site (and in the manual) it says "The two IDE RAID connectors support hard drives only" but I figured this is for RAID and not as a IDE controlr, as I have yet to see a RAID controler that won't work to just attack more IDE devices. Is there something I'm missing or will it not work.

Any Ideas would be appriceated.
