Before swapping motherboards to the Abit AS8, I had RAID 0 configured with an Adaptec 1210sa sata raid controller.

How do I go about to setup RAID 0 with the AS8? I went into the BIOS and set "onchip raid" and it detected both sata drives, but when it boots, it doesnt show anything about RAID, and doesnt boot into Windows. It says in the manual to hit CTRL+I during boot up, and I hit it 100,000 times during the entire bootup process, but no menu. Any help?

It just sits at "verifying DMI pool data........" and the CODE is:"FF" which is "boot attempt"

NM i'll just throw back in my adaptec 1210sa. I guess I would have to reinstall windows with the abit AS8 INTEL RAID drivers.

Yeah, you would have to re-install windows on your raid array if you went from your adaptec controller to the Intel one. By the way, what heatsink are you using on that MOBO? I am gonna be using the same one, but I think the northbridge heatsink may get in the way of the thermalright XP-120 I plan on using.

The XP-120 fit, just barely. Fortunatly my Raid-0 array worked fine after the motherboard switch, no re-installing for me..

Hey guys, I was thinking about grabbing the AS8 simply to keep the AGP 6600GT that I just picked up not too long ago, since I want to move off to a LGA775 Proc anyways.

So... What do you two think of them? Any good?
