Hi,
Since I have upgraded my Notebook with a 450MHz@500Mhz K6-3+ processor, 20GB Fujitsu HDD and a 8x Toshiba DVD-ROM, I have the following components lying around idle:

1) 380Mhz K6-2 (this can be used in any normal K6 base mobo)
2) 4.3GB HDD (this can be used with a 44 pin to 40 pin IDE cable adapter)
3) 4X Toshiba DVD-ROM

I am thinking of building a desktop with this components. But I am not sure about the DVD-ROM drive. The DVD-ROM has a standard 50 pin ATAPI interface.
Does anyone know if ATAPI to IDE adapter cable is available in the market?

DIP switch settings

Got the processor from axiontech. Changed the processor voltage to 2.0v, FSB to 100Mhz, multiplier to 5x. It runs cooler than my previous 380Mhz K6-2. Also the existing heatspreadder board and the fan takes care of the heat. I tried 550Mhz, but no go. But I have head people oc'ing to 600Mhz in laptop(at amdzone.com k-6 forum). My laptop is Presario 1685, which is quite standard.
