using nero with non-bundled burner

Is there any way to do this? I have nero 5.5 from a cdr burner I had a while ago and then I bought the 411s drive from liteon but i dont really like sonic software. Nero won't let me, it knows it was bundled to something else...is there a way around this? thanks.

Nope, you need to buy a new copy.

Personally, I think it is a load of **** to buy a new copy of a program you already have, just because you bought a new burner.
However, I cannot tell you here how to fix it. Do a google search. The answer is out there...

I have the same problem. Did a Google search 'nero unlock oem', found lots of links to those obnoxious sites that popup 50 windows and don't tell you anything. Went to http://www.ahead.de (Nero's homepage) and found this:

You have an ?OEM Bundled? version of Nero that will only work with the model recorder it came with. We offer this option to our OEM's so that we can offer the software to the large OEM?s at a lower price.

The 'lower price' is quite a bit more than you can buy it for on sale! Thanks for nothing, Ahead!

I have several copies of both Nero and EasyCD with this problem. What a crock!

I found that you can use Nero Express with a non-bundled CDRW!
