using lan on the ECS K7S5A

hey guys..i have question
i am using the in built lan on the ecs mobo. my server connection keeps getting reset all the time. i dual boot xp and red hat..and it happens in both of them...should i buy a sperate ethernet card...or is there someting int he bios...
any help woudl be appreciated..i am unable to download anything moe than 5mb..

what are you using it with? DSL? or other broadband?
I have used the onboard lan with both ADSL and T1 connection and didn't have any problems..I didn't do anything special in bios also..You can try to update to latest bios

Try replacing your Ethernet cable that connects to the computer.
