I'm thinking about using an otterbox defender case w/ the Touchpad...is there any reason why this wouldn't work? I'm thinking that it might cover the speakers. What do you guys think?

The original iPad and the touchpad are only 1 MM off in sizes. The touchpad speakers are on the left side. If you are holding it in the upright position, they are on the top left side and bottom left side of the touchpad.

Hope that helps, I was very impressed by the speakers they have in the touchpad. Very nice sound and pretty loud for a tablet.

If the speakers are on the upper and lower left, yep the Otterbox case will block them and muffle the sound. I love my Defender, but even it mufles the sound for the ipad it was designed for.

I know on the hp site it mentions something about being able to power it without removal from the case, so I'd guess they would include the touchstone in that definition.
