Using headphones during a thunderstorm...

I've never used headphones before during a thunderstorm, but right now there's lightning outside, and every time I see a lightning bolt (relatively close by), I hear a click in the headphones...this is way before I hear any thunder. (I just have the headphones hooked up to the computer). That is all.

Don't use them!

You are coupled! A really close strike to your mains could cause deafness or some really strange and most undesirable physiological side effects to exposure to excessive spurious electrical energy.

In other words, if the sheet hits close by it could make you piss your pants and forget who the hell you are for twenty minutes. And you'll need a vibrating alarm clock for the rest of your life.
