Using GTXP No joystick

Putting together this new system. Have the Hercules GTXP. I plugged my CH Combatstick into the game port. No joy.

I check the Windows Game Controllers settings and it reports that my JS is not connected.

Any advice?

I also posted this in the Plug-N-Play section. Sorry for the double post.
