It seems even if you specify not to use the proxy for local addresses it still sends requests through the proxy.
I have also tried alternatives like Authoxy with no luck. Although Authoxy does solve the annoying problem of Firefox asking for credentials every time the program is started.
Which is another problem in itself. If Firefox used the proxy settings in system preferences this annoyance could be avoided. Even the proxy settings in Firefox itself don't give the option to save the password.
Has anyone dealt with this or have a solution?
