Hi
My current set up is a marantz pm6005 wired optically to my computer, with diamond 220 bookshelf speakers and a sw150 subwoofer attached as speakers A and B. This isn't ideal as there is no filter in place to stop the low frequencies going to the bookshelf speakers and at high volumes I think this is affecting the sound slightly. I had the idea of making a pair of high pass filters myself and matching the curve to the one built in to the subwoofer. Hopefully giving a smooth frequency response. Does this seem like a good idea? or am i missing a more obvious solution.
Thanks for any help
