Divx 4.0 had an option to use the Divx 3.0 codec for playing back divx 3.0 files. But unfortunately Divx 5 does hon have the opliton to se the divx 3 codec as well. The problem that I have with divix 4 and 5 is that if I jump around he file in media player, the file typicaly starts playing at a point before my selection and then it quickly fastforwards while the sound pays normaly until they are syncronized and the movie plays normaly. Divx 3 did not have this problem and if I wanted to go to some point in a video it would go to that exact point without anything to go on.
What I want to know if there is a way to make the divx 5 codec use a divx 3 codec when possible or do I need to uninstall 5.0 and go back to 4.12. Although if anybody knows how to make divx 5 jumt to the exact point in the file like I want and still get the features of 5.0 I would preffer that option.
