Using Dell Wireless 1370 wlan card in Dell Latitude C610

I just bought a dell wireless 1370 wlan mini-pci card to put in my Dell Latitude c610 laptop that did not have any wireless card in there.

I bought the card without any drivers, and now when I try to install official dell wireless 1370 drivers, an error message comes up and says hardware not found on computer. I have found other broadcom drivers to try, and these will install, but the wireless card will not show up in network connections.

The model of the card is a broadcom BCM94318MPG rev 4

Is there something I am missing in installing the drivers for this card? Is there any way I could get this card to work in a c610 or is the problem just that the card is not compatible with the C610 and therefore will never work?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, the device is found in device manager, but it shows up as unknown network device. I checked in everest hardware monitor and it showed up as the right card.

Hmmm.... I have only had that problem when the laptop had trouble supplying power to the card and when I had a defective card, do you have another card to try?

Yeah, I have another 802.11b card that works fine in there. I got this card to upgrade the card to g, and it did not have wpa encryption on the 802.11b card, which I need to connect to my wireless network at school, which is the main reason I got the card.

Does anyone know where some drivers for this card could be also? I have tried many different broadcom drivers, dell drivers nothing seems to work. It always shows up as no hardware found quitting setup.

Yeah, I cant seem to get this to work. None of the drivers I am trying are working.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I think I may just have to get a new card. This is getti.ng really annoying
