using certied mail or return receipt when send out large amount of rebate ?

Whichever is cheaper...they're about the same. You can also try registered mail. :)

i wouldnt do it. 2 reasons. one i have to make a special trip to the PO.

the other is why they tell you not to send your FAFSA (HS seniors know what i'm talking about) certified.

About 99% of the time they go to a PO box, so nobody is available to sign for it. If they ignore the little cards, your rebate gets sent back. My .$02

IF you send it with signiture required, someone must sign for it when the item is picked up. I do not think that people will refuse to sign for an item.

If you make copies of everything and get a mailing receipt from the PO, that should generate proof (in case of a displute) that the items were mailed.

and you get a proof of mailing date...anything over $20 gets sent by me 'certificate of mailing' only adds 75 cents over postage if its $60 and above I do ($3.75 + .40 for 'delivery confirmation') 'priority mail' even if its a P.O. Box someone usually has to pick it up
