Using Blackberry to provide laptop net connection

I have a blackberry and was wondering if it's possible and (if so) how to use the blackberry to provide internet connection for my laptop.

thx

It's dependent upon your provider. You need to have an internet plan as well as a plan that allows tethering (obviously costs extra). Call your mobile provider and inquire

also, will the cellphone data transfer be fast enough to use logmein or citrix to connect remotely to my work computer?

Heavily depends on signal strength and carrier. With AT&T's 3G, if I don't have full (and I mean FULL) signal, the speed drops off drastically with each "bar" lost to an almost unusable level at 2-3 bars but with all 5 bars, the speed is probably close to a very low end DSL or Cable broadband.
