I was thinking about using a 25 or 27 inch tv as my monitor, cuz my monitor is a piece. If i just got a tv out card and a tv how would this setup look instead of my old 17 incher sitting there?

Any info is appreciated.

TV's make extremely poor monitors for a few reasons. The resolution of the average TV is less than a basic 640 x 480 VGA style monitor. The dot pitch of a TV is 2 - 5 times looser than a VGA monitor. TV's run a low refresh rate. You typically do not see flicker on a TV because the image is always moving.
However you will notice flicker on a stable computer image almost immediately.

Good Luck

You'd want to gouge your eyes out and curse the day you decided to use a TV instead of a monitor.

Adding on to what Gosharkss said, TV's have all this going for them -

Low resolution
Slow vertical refresh rate
Intelaced display
Giant dot pitch

DVD's and many games look great on a TV. Text does not. Anything smaller than 18 point type is usually illegible.

Unless your TV happens to be the Fujitsu 27 inch Plasma screen, even the least expensive computer monitor is much better than TV out. What's your video card TV out resolutions?
