Using a Radeon Le without a heatsink or fan....

how dangerous to the card is this??, my friend's randeon's fan and heatsink fell off and he couldnt find the right thermal tape to secure it. he's been using his computer for about 2 weeks now without a heatsink or fan..... he hasnt overclocked it and all he does is play counterstrike, how long do u think it will last? his monitor has recently been acting strange, but its an old 15" monitor, but i wouldnt be suprised if it was the video card doing the strangeness.

any ideas if fry's electronics has double sided thermal tape for sale?? we called up radio shack today and they dont have any thermal tape.

You can just put some thermal grease on it and crazy glue the corners. Probably better than thermal tape.

Get some thermal adhesive...artic silver has some in the adhesive form-check that out.

Why not just buy a cheap heatsink for a few bucks.

The Radeons do run cool but I would'nt be running it without a heatsink.
